I-15 / Tropicana Interchange
Feasibility Study

Study Recommendations

Based on careful analysis and input from area stakeholders and the general public, the I-15 / Tropicana Feasibility study team identified various concepts would improve the transportation experience within the study area. Three types of potential improvements were identified and are indicated below:

Initial Recommendations

Those concepts that could be implemented within a short time frame and would have immediate benefit to road users and/or pedestrians were classified as initial. An Initial Concepts Memorandum was prepared that discussed all initial concepts, and provided recommendations for these concepts. NDOT is currently determining which action to take based on those recommendations

Interim Recommendations

Those concepts that could be implemented within the near future, either as their own stand-alone project, or as part of another project were classified as interim. These concepts may or may not be in conflict with the ultimate alternative, but their implementation would provide benefit to road users and/or pedestrians in the interim until the final project alternative can be constructed. An Interim Concepts Memorandum was prepared that discussed these concepts.

Ultimate Recommendations

Once the initial and interim concepts were separated from consideration, ultimate concepts for the interchange improvement were considered and categorized. These concepts were evaluated as part of the final Feasibility Study.
